Spiritual warfare in the heart

Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. However, Ishmael is the child born of lust through Hagar, Sarah's servant, and Isaac is the child of the promise obtained when Sarah was 80 years old. The children of lust refer to those who are born by the will of man regardless of God's will, and the children of promise refer to those who are born entirely by the will of God. The Bible tells it. “They were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:13).

Ishmael is harassing his younger brother Isaac and Sarah asks Abraham to expel him, but Abraham has no choice but to drive Ishmael and Hagar out of the house. But God said that he would also bless Ishmael to live on the earth so that his seed would multiply like the grain of sand. After that, Ishmael married an Egyptian woman and became the ancestor of Muslims living in the Middle East today, and Isaac lived according to God's will as the promised child. Jesus, who came to Judea two thousand years ago as a type of Isaac, is the end of all believers today.

But the question is, why did Isaac's wife, Rebekah, conceive twins when only Jacob was pregnant? Like Ishmael and Isaac, there is nothing complicated when the children of lust and the children of promise are clearly separated, but the calculation is complicated because Isaac's wife Rebekah conceived twins. So, is this really a coincidence? Or is it inevitable? It is said that God counts every single hair on our heads, so we need to think deeply about whether Rebekah's conception of twins should be regarded as a providence of nature or a coincidence.

However, it is important to know that this is not a coincidence; it is God's plan in advance. To us, it seems that Abraham made a mistake and Ishmael was born, but this is also God's plan and foretells what will happen in the future. Then, needless to say, Rebekah's pregnancy with twins also foreshadowed what would happen in the future (4,000 years later).

God speaks of the plan He has made through the Bible in advance, and He accomplishes those things through His Son. This is something only God can do. However, the people of God who live in darkness cannot know this at all, but only through the Son who came out of God's bosom.

The fact that Isaac foreshadows Jesus Christ who will come before the people of Israel is a fact that all three children know, so I will not explain much here. Then, why did God give Jacob as the son of Isaac? Isaac alone is enough to foreshadow Jesus Christ. But why did Jacob give it? Jacob is the one who has been holding onto his brother's ankle since he was born in Rebekah's womb and showing strange behavior. Jacob was like a deceiver who stole even his brother's birthright because that wasn't enough. Why did God choose such a person to be the ancestor of Israel?

“The older will serve the younger! And as I said, I loved Jacob and I hated Esau” (Romans 9:12-13).

Here lies God's amazing providence that Christians were not aware of. If Isaac is foreshadowing Jesus Christ who has come to the land of Israel, Jacob is foreshadowing the 'spiritual Jesus Christ' who will come before the Gentiles. It may not be easy for Christians to understand these words, but the saying that Jesus comes as a thief in the Bible is also what they are talking about. Then, why is Jesus coming back before the Gentiles? It is to come again to save them from their sins, because all Christians today live in sin against the law of the Holy Spirit. Christians still cannot be said to be fully children of God. The reason is that the sins in their hearts have not yet been resolved, so Christians should know that they are sinners who have disobeyed the Holy Spirit.

In order for Christians to be perfected and enter the kingdom of heaven, both spirit and soul must be resolved. At present, the name of Jesus, who came in the flesh to the land of Israel, was called and the spirit was resolved. However, there are still sins that Christians need to solve, and they are sins committed in their hearts without living according to the Holy Spirit. Self-crime refers to the sins committed by Christians in violation of God's laws. In order to solve this problem, Jesus is coming again as a spirit through man.

When Christians believe in Jesus (Word) who came as the Spirit through man, Jesus enters into the Spirit (Word) into the hearts of those who believe. But Jesus, who entered the spirit, comes as a mustard seed that is too small to be seen at first. “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field, which is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is greater than a tree, and the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches” (Matthew 13:31-32).

In order for the mustard seed (Jesus), which entered the human heart as the spirit, to grow well, we must continue to listen to the words of Christ. Nothing in this world grows a mustard seed. “Therefore faith (mustard seed) comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). At least until the mustard seed becomes a big tree, one's own mindset is the most important thing in order to grow well. It's just like a woman who is pregnant for the first time needs to set her mind up so that she doesn't have a miscarriage.

However, in the heart of man, a dead spirit, the lord of the land, is already established. Jesus, who came as a small mustard seed, feels a great threat from the great lord who has been with humans since birth. Because darkness does not leave the mustard seed alone. In order to defeat him, you must listen carefully to the words of the mother (Christ) who has already won the battle with them. If you don't listen to your mother and fight with the great lord by yourself, the little mustard seed, you will be defeated. Because the pendulum becomes the servant of this Ginza, eventually Christ is aborted. It is for this reason that we must listen to the words of Christ. And the pendulum does not end here. You will become a servant of Satan.  “Whoever loses is a slave to the one who overcomes” (2 Peter 2:13).

It was not that God made Rebekah, Isaac's wife, conceive twins without meaning. This is God's foretelling in advance that the two peoples will fight in the hearts of Christians. Esau had a majestic body and a manly appearance like a wild donkey, but he was a fool who could not bear his hunger and sold his birthright to his younger brother. God could not choose such a person as the child of the promise. However, although his younger brother Jacob was like an earthworm and a deceiver, he fought to the end and took away his brother's birthright.

When Christians believe in Jesus who came as the Spirit and the words of Christ are established in their hearts, from then on in their hearts, an unprecedented spiritual war begins. As God has already said, two people are fighting a fierce battle in the hearts of men. At this time, like Esau, if they sell their birthright because they cannot overcome their hunger (life), or if they neglect the words of Christ and disobey them, Christ will not grow in such a person's heart. In that case, even God will not help such a person. The stronger one's self, the more the mustard seed will not germinate and will wither and die.

But on the contrary, he says that he will make him a pillar of the temple to those who fight and overcome themselves. Through the Book of Revelation, God tells all seven churches that only those who overcome will participate in the glory of God.

“To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God” (Revelation 2:7).

“He who overcomes will not be harmed in the second death” (Revelation 2:11).

“To him who overcomes I will give the hidden manna” (Revelation 2:17).

“To the one who overcomes, and to him who keeps tomorrow to the end, I will give the power of the iron spear over the nations” (Revelation 2:26).

“He who overcomes will likewise be clothed in white robes, and his name will not be blotted out of the book of life” (Revelation 3:5).

Jesus is not just talking about the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. Our heart is the heart field in which the seeds of heaven will be planted. The words of Jesus must be planted in that heart field. However, if the heart field is not good, even if the seeds of heaven are sown, they cannot take root and soon wither and die. Those who hear the words of Jesus and have the seeds of heaven planted in their hearts must take good care of them so that the seeds of heaven are not inherited. If you remember that the mind of the flesh is hostile to God, then you should not let your mind go against the words of Christ.

But the human heart is full of all kinds of filthy sins. If you make a mistake, there is a high probability that you will abort the seed of heaven through your carnal thoughts. Therefore, in order for the seed of heaven to grow well in our hearts, above all else, we must completely forsake ourselves. Otherwise, my thoughts may soon trample down the seeds of heaven and wither to death. Those who give themselves up in the spiritual battle can overcome everything. However, if you do not forsake yourself, Satan will triumph.
